Intermediate EVS seminar

23.9.2008 - 27.9.2008 One formality of EVS exchanges are also seminars…at the beginning of the evs we went in Canfranc, where we got many many information about Spain, youth in action programs, short classes of Spanish language…and we meet new friends ;) …and we meet them again on intermediate seminar in Savilla, near Madrid. This time we were valuating our work, relationship with local population, our mentors and tutors, roommates, Spanish classes and more…we had intercultural evening, where I had a chance to eat all jamon and salcisac in these world, try so many typs of whine, dance traditional songs, play games, and laugh, laugh laugh ;) If I could describe the adventure in one sentence, I would say what a great combination of learning and having fun! And Jana and JP thanks for causing my mussels pain in my stomach and chicks by all laughing hehehe! See ya soon ;) And for all the visitors of this blog, check the movie below ;D

Camino de Santiago!

One backpack, 5 T-shirts, one shorts and one long pence, sleeping bag, bottle of water, my friend Alessandro and new 5 days long adventure…;) …This time we decided to go on Camino de Santiago! We started with sunrise in Aviles, took a bus to Sarria and started to walk 111km till Santiago!
First day Alessandro was so happy because of his love Laura, that we walked, rather run all the 33 kilometres and the day after his knee answered and told him, to slooow ?!!**!! down. So in next days all the snails were passing us by, but I had plenty of time to eat blueberries on endless bushes around really beautifull nature! More pain legs and yellow arrows check on the pictures hehehe and one idea for the
future: Go on Camino de Santiago!

• "August's Horror Movie"

I am the devil Witch, you are death Zombie, he is fearful Dracula...we are living in a nightmare ;) ...Yeah...With youngsters we created our own and special horror movie...and performed in it ;)
...In one months, we created with Viti music accompaniment, with Suzana costumes and with Alba choreography...
For me personally it was amazing experience. Dear friends, I admired your collaboration through the whole months of workshops...in a future you could lead your own special workshops and teach people about tolerance and love...and thanks for all the hugs, smiles and laugh! I will never forget you!

Street workshop in Gijon

31 July & 1-2-3 August 2008

• "Rase your voice and tell us your point of view!"



Here we go another idea…street workshops in Gijon…Children created an art exhibition with pictures. The topic was Raise your voice and tell us what you wanna change or double on our world…today you can visit our exhibition for free…but only because you are one special person… And here I would like to introduce you another Italian guy, who forgot about pizza and switched on Spanish paella and is now an EVS volunteer in Oviedo (near us)… David, thanks for your participation!

Workshops with children in TIA

...In July and August we organized workshops with different groups of children, aged from 3 to 12...

2-3-5 July 2008

• " Children... let's travel from Spain around the world!"
  

  In these workshops we checked on the world map our countries of origin. We realized, that our world is big, divided into continents, countries, regions…and we were discovered differences and similarities between us…which makes us connected and richer…So we left Spain with our "magic plane" and explored the traditions of Slovenia, "by train" visited Italy, "by bus" friend Martin in Germany, and "by taxi" Poland. After that we asked children to present Spain to us…we played traditional games from all the countries and for celebration we prepared Italian food "Bruschetta"…more you can see in the set of pictures… mmm I loooooooove "Bruschetta" hehehe

  Oh yeah…that still exists…with one group of Spanish children, we wrote a letter to a Slovenian's kindergarden and they respond us…let's take a look in children words ;)

• "Our earth has the fever... what can we do?"
  

  Yes, we continued with the Al Gore mission and discovered with children, why our earth has a fever…what has gone wrong, actually, what do we do wrong and what can we change today, here and now! (From Al Gore to Barack Obama hehhehe).Thanks children for your contribution…If you would be members of the World Parliament, I would not need sun lotion with factor number 70 and still die of skin cancer!! But, because pictures can present our joy and work better than words, check it out the movie below...

• "What makes our world reach?"
  

  And again we were asking ourselves what do we like in our world…and what we do not like. With Alessandro we wanted to stimulate children to tell us and think about themselves in connection with society…down below by looking at the video clip you can enter into children’s minds…

  And we figured it out, that the whole world is being run by music…and we realised, that really diverse Marakas are being played in so many countries, so we checked these out and we made our own…take a look hehe! ...So, that was our adventure in TIA...

How did it all begin?... 3 mounths ago...

...Teja's and Alessandro's story!...

On 2nd of June we left our homes, friends, sisters, boyfriend and girlfriend (!), cat and dog, all the spiders and dust in our rooms in Slovenia and Italy, and we flew to Aviles. That place became our home, for the next 6 months…Now we are sharing in a small, old apartment, with Marc, a guy who loves eating and hates cleaning hehe; so listen to our story ;) …and as Mark would say, EVS NO STRESS …and Allesandro would sing along DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE THING…'CAUSE EVERY LITTLE THING IS GONNA BE ALRIGHT!!! ...ya, that is our motto and national song ;) ... thanks Bob!…
